To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable. - C.S. Lewis in The Four Loves

The world belongs to those who read. - Rick Holland
This world, all worlds, the reader's world. Whether real or imagined, the world is yours in so many ways when you immerse yourself in reading.
Books open many doors and spread new horizons before your mind's eye. They help you grow, they teach you, they show you how to think.
For better, or for worse, a book can change your life completely. But even if a book does not impact you so dramatically, it changes you because after reading a book, any book, you will never be the same. The inner talk, the questions, the doubts, the answers, they all add to your experience, even if it is only an imagined one.
